I love seeing communities around the region move forward with bike-friendly projects.
Take Perham, Minn., for example. This is a community that wholeheartedly promotes a healthy lifestyle. It hosts a triathlon, half marathon, road bike race and a handful of 5K runs throughout the year. But, it’s not all about racing – there’s also a heavy emphasis on living a healthy lifestyle.
The city’s recent news is another example of that commitment. Within the next year, the city will construct a system of bike paths that will provide a connection from the community’s hospital to bike paths that already stretch straight down to the lake (the one that is home to Zorbaz, which therefore makes it the lake that matters most).
Um, cool – especially because I work here. It’s just another opportunity to ‘move that body.’
